Day 10 and 11 rehearsals in Laval, 18 & 19 April 2018

With two days of rehearsal to report on, fans outside heard one busy day and one quiet day; perhaps predictably, the quiet day was absent Bono as he was in Texas. With thanks once again to U2Songs and their super sources, here is what we know happened the last two days. Spoilers below the jump:

On 18th April the band was audible in three chunks. The first two were work on certain songs, and the final was a possible working setlist. The first part of the day featured:

  • Desire (incomplete x3)
  • Desire
  • The Showman (incomplete)
  • Desire (conclusion of song)
  • The Showman
  • The Ocean
  • Iris
  • The Ocean (incomplete)
  • Iris (opening)
  • The Ocean
  • Iris (opening)
  • Sunday Bloody Sunday
  • Raised By Wolves

The second bit seemed to indicate the beginning of a runthrough, as the yet unidentified song believed to be the band's entrance music was heard and then followed by The Blackout and Lights of Home. While the song is not yet known, fans in the area have said the vocals sound similar to Bono. After this opening salvo U2 took an extended break. When they returned a few hours later, they worked through an apparent working set for the second time in these rehearsals:

  • Unidentified song (pre-recorded)
  • Love Is All We Have Left (pre-recorded)
  • The Blackout
  • Lights of Home
  • Beautiful Day
  • I Will Follow
  • The Ocean
  • Iris
  • Cedarwood Road
  • Song For Someone
  • Sunday Bloody Sunday
  • Raised By Wolves
  • Until the End of the World
  • Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me
  • Elevation
  • Staring at the Sun
  • Pride
  • Get Out of Your Own Way
  • American Soul
  • City of Blinding Lights
  • One
  • Love is Bigger than Anything in it's Way
  • 13

On 19th April little could be heard from outside, and it is not clear if what was heard was done by the band or the technicians. No song was done to completion. What was heard was some unidentified drumming, some of the guitar from Until the End of the World, and the unknown pre-recorded track.
