U2 in concert
(EiTB24.com) -- Today early in the morning citizens have started queuing for U2's concert tonight at Anoeta stadium.
At last! Today our eyes will fix on the enormous stage of Anoeta stadium in Donostia-San Sebastián. Thousands of citizens marked today's day on their calendar, as today's concert will be the most attended in the Basque Country expecting to overcome Rolling Stones' in June 2003.
It was Mick Jagger then who pronounced the Basque words "azkenean hemen gaude" (we are finally here), and now it's Bono's turn along with The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr., who will sing U2's wide range of songs. The citizens will also be able to enjoy their last compositions found in the Irish band's last album How to dismantle an atomic bomb.
More than 40,000 await the desired moment in which the authors of songs like "beautiful day" will come out on stage, where English Kaiser Chiefs and Scotsman Franz Ferdinard will be the support bands in charge of warming up the air.
Succes in Barcelona
The gates to the concert are expected to open at 5.30 p.m. but yesterday citizens of Donostia-San Sebastián watched curiously the images of the concert U2 gave in Barcelona in an attempt to guess what awaits them at Anoeta.
More than 80,000 met in Barcelona, the most overcrowded concert of "Vertigo 2005" tour. Even Ronaldinho attended the concert, who even put Bono itself in the shade for a while, and the audience gave him a standing ovation. It was an emotional day for the Catalans, who after almost two hours chanted "with or without you" at Camp Nou putting a perfect end to a meeting many won't fail to repeat today in Donostia-San Sebastián.
