U2 to visit Chile in 2011
Yesterday, we reported that U2.com had leaked U2's long-rumoured Santiago date. They have now actually, properly confirmed that U2 will perform in Chile as part of next year's South American leg of the 360° Tour.
The concert will be held on 25 March 2011 at Estadio Nacional in Santiago. It is just the third U2 concert ever in Chile and the first not in the month of February, after visits on 11 February 1998 and 26 February 2006. The support act will be Muse.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on 16 December. There will be two presales. First will be a presale for U2.com members beginning at 10am local time this Friday, 10 December and running until 5pm on 12 December. Second will be a presale for Entel customers paying only with CMR Falabella cards, beginning on 13 December and running through to 14 December.
As we have reported before, rumour has it that if this show sells out quickly, a second concert will be added on 26 March.
