U2 fans line up to appear in video

Fans of the mega-popular rock band U2 scrambled to get down to GM Place after Lower Mainland radio stations announced that the band was looking for extras to appear in the video they were shooting Wednesday.

The news came as a surprise, but U2 had no trouble getting the 4,000 extras they were looking for.

The video shoot was expected to take several hours.

U2 perform at GM Place on Thursday and Friday. Both shows sold out within minutes.
