Rain for MOS. Love this light rain ;-) #u2 #u2360 #u2360munich

via Twitter for iPhone

And with the Singing In The Rain snippet, the show comes to an end. Thanks to @U2tour again for the stream!

via U2gigs (Ax)

Singing In The Rain snip at the end of MOS.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@SeattleB 6 May 2010, funeral of Gerry Ryan. In concert, twice in 2009: 27 July and 10 August.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to SeattleB

24th and presumably last is Moment Of Surrender.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Bono gives his usual speech of thank yous.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Alas, no Shine Like Stars, just a perfunctory “oh oh oh”.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Well, we got Hear Us Coming, now how about some Shine Like Stars? I know, I’m not getting my hopes up.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@xalira Yep, bet HMTMKMKM is done in Paris in a few days.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to Xalira

23rd is With Or Without You, also returning to the set after missing Zurich 2.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@alfro_j Oh, no apology necessary, I realised what I’d said before I saw your comment! :)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to alfro_j

@jpstarkey Which is partly why it’s taking so much time, but I like that particular verse.

via web in reply to jpstarkey

Looks like Bono wears something else below the laser jacket today. Can’t see it yet. Matt #u2 #u2360 #u2360munich

via Twitter for iPhone

@Matkin22 What are the odds of Bono remembering one of his own songs rather than snippeting somebody else’s? ;)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Well, UV rather than nothing, compared to Zurich 2. You know what I mean.

via U2gigs (Ax)

So, UV rather than HMTMKMKM - first setlist change from Zurich 2.

via U2gigs (Ax)

22nd song is… Ultra Violet.

via U2gigs (Ax)

My votes for new rain snips: The Chills’ Rain, The Cure’s Prayers For Rain, REM’s So. Central Rain, & Tim Finn’s No Thunder No Fire No Rain.

via U2gigs (Ax)

But thankfully @U2log got the snip - Purple Rain.

via U2gigs (Ax)

OK, there was some rain-related snip at the end of Streets - but I missed it! Ugh.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Brief snip of All You Need Is Love in Streets.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Really need to get back to my project of cataloguing all instances of Hear Us Coming. Real life been getting in the way.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@diederdevries Think so, unless I’m grossly mistaken.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to diederdevries

@alljokesmustgo Popmart Tampa proved, if nothing else, that an It’s Raining Men snippet will give us laughs for years to come!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to alljokesmustgo

Amazing Grace snippet into 21st song of the night, Streets.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Aww yeah, One has Hear Us Coming!

via U2gigs (Ax)

@pvree Haven’t been any reports of taping… think Bono’s just taking it easy on the snips for a change.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to pvree

@SeattleB More ASOH indeed1 I didn’t mind You’ll Never Walk Alone snip in Auckland ’06, but now it’s cliche.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to SeattleB

@ah533 Seems You’ll Never Walk Alone wasn’t done at a good number of the September ’09 shows. Will have to check recordings to confirm.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to ah533

First song of encore, 20th of the night, is One.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Apparently there’s just been a little bit of rain in Munich… enough to prompt the usual snippets? We’ll see.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Over to Desmond Tutu…

via U2gigs (Ax)

Do I even need to tell you folks that there’s a snippet of You’ll Never Walk Alone at the end of Walk On? It’d be news if it WEREN’T done.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@thefly202005 That would be too perfect. Then into Exit to rock out the end of the main set.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to thefly202005

19th is Walk On.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Dear U2, please keep MOTD in the setlist at least until the Melbourne shows. Please. Pretty please.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Haha, thanks for the laugh though. :) (I’m easily amused when I’m tired, it seems.)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

This is the first time MOTD has been played at consecutive gigs since 1998!

via U2gigs (Ax)

18th is… Mothers Of The Disappeared!

via U2gigs (Ax)

Fingers and toes crossed that MOTD stays in the set.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Poor Discotheque, it struggles to stay in the set even as a snippet!

via U2gigs (Ax)

17th is Sunday Bloody Sunday.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Two Tribes and Relax snippets at end of Crazy, Two Tribes the longer of the two.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@jpstarkey I’m skeptical too. Unfortunately Matt was late to stadium and missed soundcheck. U2tour only report NYD, MOS/MS keys, MOTD intro.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to jpstarkey

There’s some snippetry! Brief Funky Town at the start of Crazy Tonight.

via U2gigs (Ax)

16th is Crazy Tonight.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Don’t think there was a snippet at the end of Vertigo tonight.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@skid63 Too true! I have a pipedream that he will snippet a great song from my homeland, Rain by The Chills.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to skid63

15th is Vertigo.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@santiago2u Be There is pretty good, but personally, I think Wild Irish Rose is the most amazing unreleased “Internet U2 nerd” song.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to santiago2u

Show’s been light on snippets so far. Do we need some rain to get our fix of hot snippet action? ;)

via U2gigs (Ax)

14th is City Of Blinding Lights.

via U2gigs (Ax)

13th is Miss Sarajevo.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Munich set identical to Zurich 2 so far. Will MOTD remain today? Will we get a full encore?

via U2gigs (Ax)

12th is In A Little While.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Funny how Glasto has disappeared from the set after being done at the first 7 shows of the leg.

via U2gigs (Ax)

In fact, Bono, out of all the new songs, Mercy is probably the one that U2 Internet nerds like us know best!

via U2gigs (Ax)

So, after its debut at the 2nd Zurich gig, Mercy gets a second outing.

via U2gigs (Ax)

“We’ve played the next song only once ever, so you can’t know that!” Oh but we do. 11th is MERCY.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Bono is surprised when the crowd sings along at the end of North Star.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Sounds like North Star is just Bono and Edge tonight, alas.

via U2gigs (Ax)

There was no snip at the end of ISHFWILF. I miss the Movin’ On Up snippet; Bono sung that beautifully.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Tenth song of the night is North Star. C’mon guys, do it full band!

via U2gigs (Ax)

@U2log Sorry, I missed your tweet! Forgive me, it’s 5:30am here and my wakefulness is questionable. ;)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to U2log

And as expected, 9th song of the night is I Still Haven’t Found.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Via @J_Benzone, the UTEOTW snippet was Leonard Cohen’s Anthem.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Bono’s speech acknowledges the Munich doctors who treated his back.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Speech time. You know this means ISHFWILF is next, unless there’s a huge change.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Bono seemed to be improvising/snippeting before the “drowning my sorrows” part of UTEOTW, but if it was a snip, I’ve no idea what.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@hjwallace1 Yeah, I’m surprised NLOTH hasn’t been done again after its Helsinki appearance. I’d like it back.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to hjwallace1

Setlist is pretty much business as usual so far. Wonder what the new songs will be tonight? Mercy again? Will Glasto be back?

via U2gigs (Ax)

8th is Until The End Of The World.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Seventh is Elevation.

via U2gigs (Ax)

My Sweet Lord snippet in MW.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Still surprised EBTTRT hasn’t appeared, given it has been rehearsed. Similarly, it was rehearsed but not played on Vertigo.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Sixth is Mysterious Ways.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Fifth is Magnificent.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Extended Dance Remix fucking slays. But my vote for best b-side goes to Treasure.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Fourth is Boots.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Yeah, I’m skeptical. I’ve been saying for years that it’d own live, though!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

It’s bizarre to think this is just IWF’s 4th appearance on 360, and the 1st time it has been done at consecutive shows.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Glad they’re doing IWF in this slot, after NYD occupied it at the two German gigs last month.

via U2gigs (Ax)

No snip at the end of B Day. Third is I Will Follow.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 You’d think so, but there’s just no excuse for 5am existing! ;)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

And @U2tour have a live stream going, http://u2.gs/f9

via U2gigs (Ax)

Here’s our mainpage article where I will be posting the full set live: http://u2.gs/f8

via U2gigs (Ax)

Second is Beautiful Day.

via U2gigs (Ax)

Ax checking in here at the start of the Munich gig. We’re go with Stingray Guitar opening as usual.

via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 We know how badly they overthink albums and take too long with them; an EP may be liberating, and get closer to the raw U2 sound.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 A proper studio EP. Try to do something different than yet another album. It’s been too long since WAIA.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 I want them to surprise us all and kick out an EP.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Since it seems their attention is now away from Glasto, on getting EBW, NS, and Mercy to work.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Glasto’s probably my fav of the new songs, actually. Surprised it hasn’t been done in a while but I think U2 are confident in it.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Haha yeah, though my bet is they won’t do it. My money’s on EBW and Glasto.
