it has been said that to be successful you have to be lucky, or a little mad, or very talented, or find yourself in a rapid growth field....i'm not so sure about all that....I'm in a place called VERTIGO and feel totally buzzed by the up n coming tour in Europe and just can't wait to see the boys play live!

GggggRRRRWWWAAAARRR ummmm there's my shirt....whoopa ..... hey Jeff got anymore front shots of this RED SHIRT....Fantastic..!Hummm very philosophical Ranger.... I've come to believe where U2's concerned they are vera vera talented men with the great Paul M. helping to EMPOWER them on there journey....and yes were slipp'n slipp'n were in the center of a gyro and Vertigo is all around us.....*til we hit the ground* kitty walks away rubb'in her bum but her tail is sure enough swishing.....hahaha....U2 just rocked me.....grrrrr

Hey Ranger its 2:30 am in the morning...and I'm seeing stars..haha.... Oh I luved everything ....they always send me to heaven when I see them....I'm a horrible person to ask that of because I love everything they do....yeppa i have it bad....U2 sickness....grrrr......in the years past it was the intro to Zoo station and Bono kick'in his feet in a lit up back ground and jerking to the slam of the bass and drum.....ummmm baby I just love that... but they have so many songs to slam dunk you with that you just hang on tight for the ride......wheeeeeee.....grrrrr

02h30...in the morning...last to hear the warning...trying to throw your arms around the world? heh i'm so chuffed that i've found this forum to share U2 vibes / memories with...you know i remember like it was yesterday 11th August 1993...Wembly Stadium ( LONDON) ZOOROPA...better by design...the drummer boy sequence kicks in the light go down and the crowd go ballastic...then the horns signal the coming of the FLY...Edges guitar rips through the smokey night sky and the bass drums thunders and crashes - sending shudders through the ground and bone crushing vibes through our bones..then from the right hand corner of the stage ( lit up in euro blue and the 15 yellow stars hallowing B's body ZOO STATION caughs & splutters into a mesmarising techno-tronic industrial barage of sight and brilliant rock n roll sound...85 000 people ready...ready for the laughing gas..ready for what was next...that night the live satellite link up to Sarajevo was a spooky and chilling experience...very moving...Salman Rushdie ( author of the Satanic Verses ) made an appearance on stage...for his work and opinios about the Koran ...he has a fatwha slapped on him...it was one of his first public appearances in years.....it was a knee trembling show!

Kitty blinks then lets out a big HELL YEAH BABY.... So I see your NOT a U2 VIRGIN...hahaha... gawd how cool you were at Wembly in 93...that intro just took me back to Zoo....that year I saw them at two outdoor shows and 4 indoor shows...kitty singing vera loud "ready ready for the grid lock...I'm ready for the push"..... grrrrrI'm familiar with Salman Rushdie in fact I started one of his books not to long ago but i didn't finish it yet...we live in strange times and the best of times...Did you go to PopMart shows? Did you go to Joshua Tree shows?....
From: Rhône Ranger on 2005-04-14 12:50:58
ready to daffy duck ready to do the elvis jive...ready to say i'm glad to be alive ...I'm ready for the ..PUSH. yeh - i saw POP MART in Paris on the 6th September 97 and then again in Tokyo on the 5th March 98...though the TOKYO event was special for me being so far from the land of my fathers i'd have to be honest and say that it didn't rock like shows that i'd been to in Europe....the vibe was more subdued..as for Joshua Tree...nowpe...i didn't make that tour...i was still in school then and my mother wouldn't let me out to smoke pot, drink suds and listen to rock n roll bands on school nights...what could i do Kitty? give it a name...it sucked!
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-04-15 03:48:24
That so surprises me about Tokyo I would have figured they 'd be wild as bearcats there (the elvis jive ...ummm I can did it) ... awe Japan how long were you there? There customs and architecture are absolutely facinating...I've study China more than Japan but curious of there ancient weaponry...*kitty's really a blood-hound at heart*No smok'n pot, cigs, or suds.....this babe gets high on my man's music and its the best trip I'll ever take...totally sucks you missed out...I thank my Mom because she's an angel who shared her love of Rock'n roll with her little darlings.....grrrr

i worked out in Japan for the best part of 30 months helping to set up a subsidiary of an international wine brokerage....i had a blast! whilst there travelled to Hong Kong ( numerous times ), Beijing, Singapore and Thailand...all enchanting places with such a rich tapestry of culture...i also picked up the passion for cooking out there..i just love all the south east asian spices mélanged into light seafood dishes...have you heard how the Glendale show went? i've seen no pics as yet..RR

Cat ...what the hell am i talking about...the boys played Phoenix last night...where the heck did i get the idea of them playing Glendale....you know what? i think i've been eating too many bowls of Honey Nut Crunch!
From: Matt on 2005-04-15 09:55:02
The show was actually in Glendale which seems to be a little before Phoenix.
From: Rhône Ranger on 2005-04-15 10:16:30
matt...i'm not from those there parts so i'm not quite sure what the hell its all about....on this web-site and U2.com they are talking about the Phoenix show....so i presume GLENDALE is either the suburb / venue in Phoenix where the show took place...but heh, you know what it doesn't really matter..i'm just looking forward to hearing some of the reviews and getting a butchers hook at the photos...RR over and out

From: sushi on 2005-09-05 08:16:09
Ok hunny darling I love you but seriously, going by two different names, what is this?? *smacks Ranger*Lalar, I've been reading these Rhoney posts, and they're bearing a scary resemblance to ZOO-KEEPER... same writing style, they both live in Paris, lots of caps... hmm, coincidence? I think not, young grasshopper! *smacks little baby ego* Tell us, RHONEY RANGER, who are you really? Are you a Zoo-Keeper in disguise, my friend? or are you, Zoo-Keeper, just a RHONEY RANGER in disguise??
From: sushi for ZK on 2005-09-05 08:20:59
Another thing, meow! to quote Rhoney Ranger: RR over and outAnd to quote Zoo-Keeper: zookeeper over and outHmm... coincidence my little darling, no no no!! *wattles finger* Sushi is onto you, lovely, hehe oh yes I am onto you....

Whaaa, another conspiracy theory! Nice! ;)L. Over and out.:P
From: Octu2 on 2005-09-05 17:38:02
I thought that they may be one in the same ,but if you read more about RR in other comments,he seems to be more fun. ZK lives in the south of France with a whole different story on how he got there, and RR lives outside of Paris and is a wine ditributor. I'm not too sure what ZK does as he won't say. They say simmilar things but I think that is because RR is British and ZK is Scottish/English. I also think Soulcat said that she had been watching some of zookeepers comments for a while. After I read more of RR's comments I was more convinced they were NOT the same person. I also read where RR met Bono once back stage and other people like Brian Eno. Don't know if he was telling tall tales or not. They certainly have the same style of writing though,so it is a puzzler. Oh, one more thing zk seems to only comment on one picture.
From: Laura on 2005-09-05 18:00:38
Maybe he's using a different name for every other picture ;)
From: Octu2 on 2005-09-05 18:43:42
Naw, I really don't think it is the same person. If you read more of RR and all of the zk comments, they don't seem that way to me.
From: Ingrid on 2005-09-05 21:09:48
I agree with oct... I have read all of RR's comments, and some of ZK.. and RR seems more... chill to me.. he's more a happy, relaxed fellow..
