Just be there early and run fast is all I can say...
From: fanny on 2005-07-11 14:17:06
how early before the gates open should I be there??:)
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-11 14:23:12
Slate she's pretty little (how tall ARE YA fanny?) ....should she try for the front stage or one of the cat walk platforms and if so which side has Bono been favoring?....THANKS.... ;)
From: fanny on 2005-07-11 14:29:45
I'm 165 cm. tall...my parents are telling me that I should go for the tribunes, when I talk to them I say yes I will go for that(but bigbro and I have other plans)we are heading for first row,but don't tell them*SSSSHHH* hehe:)
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-11 14:36:45
hun what's the tribunes? Is that the side stages?.... :)
From: fanny on 2005-07-11 14:41:47
oops, hehe:) yeah I meant the sides of the stage, you know way up there when you hardly see them=)
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 15:01:05
I'd try for one of the b-stages, because they are less high than the main stage and you get closer (that is the gap between b-stage and audience isn't as wide as the gap between main stage and audience). Plus if you're not that tall and manage to get in the front row at one of the b-stages you have the advantage that there's no-one before you, so you also have a better view of the main stage. How early, I can't say for sure... That also depends on whether it's a weekend and how the weather is that day. ;-) If it's a weekday and it's raining you might be lucky if you come later, but if it's weekend and the sun is shining, later might be too late. ;-) Early morning should be fine, though. :-))

Oh my goodness, my English is really leaving me... of course I mean "in front of you", not "before you", silly Slate. ;-)As for Bono, I can't say for sure on which side he is more often, but I tend to think it is Edge's. Matt, what do you think?
From: Matt on 2005-07-11 15:11:33
Bono is on Edges side during Electric Co. and All I Want is You. On the other side during Sometimes and Love And Peace Or Else and Zoo Station. If you want to see him without shades go for the Adam stage. You will also see Adam and Larry in front of you. Edge has never be seen on that stage i think.
From: fanny on 2005-07-11 15:15:12
thank you so much guys:)but which side are they on? left or right?I know this is a stupid question, but I just gotta know:)hehe..again: THANK YOU=)
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 15:15:54
Ah, ok, you're right. But does he really get to the b-stage for Sometimes? I remember him singing it somewhere on the catwalk, but I could be wrong.True - Adam and Bono come to both b-stages, whereas Edge is only on his side and Larry is only on the other side. Maybe that helps. ;-)
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 15:18:25
Hihi, ok, I'll try it like this:Imagine you look at the stage (like on the picture above), ok? From that perspective it's:- left side: Bono, Adam, Edge- right side: Bono, Adam, LarryWherever you are, left or right, Adam is just fun to watch. :-)

Thanks Slate I was gonna suggest that to.....At our gigs in the states the front stage is a bummer for me the height of the stage and the big gap..... fanny try to get a sloped area of the B-stage that you have a good view ...really study the stages on these photos because when you get in there you will have to run like a gazelle to the spot you want no time to choose by then... these other guys are the experts wow they've been to so many .... lucky critters...... grrr ;)
From: Matt on 2005-07-11 15:21:14
He is also at the end of the stage for a minute or so. Thats the part without shades i think.
From: fanny on 2005-07-11 15:22:15
okay, thank you hun:)I'll tell you, I'm running right ahead to Larry;-)hehe...now I have all the notes I need for the concert=)hugs...
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 15:22:22
Well, I still envy you for the ellipse! Those two b-stages really suck in my opinion. You never know where to look, and what's worst, once you're in, it's hard to get out and even harder to come back in! *lol*
From: Matt on 2005-07-11 15:23:19
I would go for the right (Adam) stage. I had that spot in Vienna and it was great.
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-11 15:23:41
SCREEEECH......ok thats my spot....bumps fanny to the side......hihihi..thanks Matt from the bottom of my heart..... ;)))) lol grrr

yeah,I was posting to slate about the left/right thing..hehe:)
From: Lucia on 2005-07-11 15:57:44
Hey guys...what I mess!I was thinking to try to get the left sidewalk..now Matt is saying he prefers the right one...aahhhhh...anyway Bono is coming on both,right?...I miss Zoo tour stage...
From: Lucia on 2005-07-11 16:15:27
Slate...here in Rome we are a bit unlucky because the show is on saturday, usually people go to the beach if it's sunny and hot (we have to pray for that!)..but if it's not it might be people from dawn.On Zoo tour and Pop I got there about 11am I could have the front stage (there were both in the middle of the week) but this time I think it's going to be different...people is definitely going crazy here!
From: Matt on 2005-07-11 16:57:41
I do not really prefer any of the stages but on the right one there is some more action i think. Since i want to take some nice photos i try to get closer to the main stage so i will not take away the B-stage spot from anyone :)
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 17:02:38
Lucia, as for the sidewalks I'd say, just do it spontaneously... If you get in there and see that there are already lots of people on the left side, then go to the right (or the other way round). Don't worry too much about it, I'd say if you want to see Bono, both sides are good! And about queueing (wow, this looks funny), I'm curious how it's going to be. I'd prefer bad weather, hehe, but I guess that's only me. ;-)
From: Lucia on 2005-07-11 17:20:27
Thanks Matt...ehi Slate I'm sure that queing will be funny in any case..but people here reaaally like the beach on Sat,then they have a shower and then come to the show...hihihi...by the way I don't care about queue,my only big huge problem will be the TOILETTE!!!!..I'm going to ask my doctor for a catheter...
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-11 18:04:59
Hihi, oh yeah, maybe they put up some dixie loos?!
From: Lucia on 2005-07-11 23:07:15
ouchhh...good idea but a little bit complicated....what about a nappy?I'm sure that nobody will notice it...if I use it..oohhh that's disgusting!!!....hihihi
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-12 03:01:18
Lmao...Lucia that was a kicker...hihihihi....grrr...have fun gal....hope you get to touch the man.....whooopeee!
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-12 09:26:03
A nappy? You mean as do the ski jumping fans? Urgh... no way... hihihi!!
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-12 10:14:28
Skiers jumping and wearing diapers....!?!? WTF....Holy freezer burn....frozen piddle in yer pantaloons sounds a bit over the top to me!..Tell me its not true?hihi.....Am I the only insane person here or are we actually talking of pissing your pants when you spot BONO.......ok then i perfectly understand where your coming from ....lalalala.....been there done that!...muahaha...... grrrr
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-12 10:21:04
*lol* Well, that's what I once read on a ski jumping forum. People putting on nappies so they don't have to leave their place in the queue. They just let it run, so to say... Of course I don't know if it's true, but from the folks who posted there it wouldn't surprise me. ;-)
From: Slateblue on 2005-07-12 10:22:09
Soulie, you pissed your pants when you saw Bono?!? Where and when was that??? Hihihiiiii...
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-07-12 10:44:25

From: Lucia on 2005-07-12 12:02:09
...Soulie this is a precautionary measure!!!..try to think me to hug Bono with my pants piddled...aaahhhhh...someone should invent a sort of plastic "d...." for women..what do you think?....hihihi
