Audio of U2 on The Culture Show

A few days ago, we reported that U2 had played a live set at their Dublin studios for The Culture Show on BBC Two. The set was played back in the first week of February, and The Culture Show have now broadcast two songs from it: No Line On The Horizon and Get On Your Boots. These constitute the earliest listings of these songs in our live performances database.

Update: Disappointingly for fans worldwide, the BBC has lodged a copyright claim on YouTube against the audio we had embedded, so it is no longer available. You can head over to U2Start if you want to download audio or video.

Although Magnificent was also filmed, it was not broadcast. However, it may be broadcast on Friday. A lengthier edition of The Culture Show's U2 episode will be broadcast on BBC Two from 11:30pm British time and may include Magnificent. This broadcast begins immediately after the conclusion of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross on BBC One, on which U2 are scheduled to play two songs.

Though speaking of Magnificent, a behind-the-scenes clip of U2 at Le Grand Journal a couple of days ago is now available. It features footage of the band soundchecking Boots, Breathe, and Magnificent. It also includes some footage from the show itself, and of Bono singing a bit of Love Me Tender during the soundcheck.
