U2 to tour Australia in December

This rumour comes awkwardly by way of a friend of a friend, but I put much more stock in it than faceless "sources say" in media articles. In any case, this new rumour builds upon what has previously been speculated here and in the media.

Basically, this friend of a friend says U2 will hit Australia in December. The tour will be announced next week, followed by tickets going on sale in September.

As always, remember nothing is confirmed until there is an official announcement by U2's organisation and promoters. At least we won't have to wait long to verify or deny the accuracy of this rumour - we'll know by the end of next week, just eleven days away.
