U2's staging arrives in Auckland

The first concert of the 4th leg of the 360° Tour is just over a week away, in Auckland on 25 November 2010. Last month, after the conclusion of the European leg, U2's staging was shipped out of Valencia, and in recent days, it has arrived in New Zealand.

Thanks to contributor Simon, we are able to share some photos from Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland. These were taken on the 14th, when the containers had arrived but work had not begun on stage assembly.

The field awaiting the stage, with a lonely cherrypicker at left:

Concertgoers may use these turnstiles, but I don't think the stage will be entering through them! In the left background, you can see extra seats that have been recently added:

Signage trying to hock off the remaining unsold tickets. We all know what they really wanted to put on the sign was, in the words of Mrs Doyle from Father Ted, "go on go on go on go on go on go on":
