U2's rehearsals in Auckland, Wednesday 24/11

Tomorrow, the fourth leg of the 360° Tour begins with the first of two shows in Auckland. Today, U2 have done another rehearsal at Mount Smart Stadium.

Like yesterday, the band have done two rehearsal sessions. The earlier session featured Sunday Bloody Sunday, the intro to Walk On, and extensive rehearsal of and tinkering with Boy Falls From The Sky. It reportedly also included a rehearsal of Scarlet with a guest rap by Jay-Z, but we have not yet confirmed this for sure. When Scarlet was played during the later rehearsal session, it did not feature Jay-Z, although Bono did some quasi-rapped lyrics between the main refrain of "rejoice, rejoice".

For the later rehearsal session, the band picked up close to where they left off yesterday and continued rehearsing an actual main setlist and then some extra songs. Thanks again to KhanadaRhodes and Ian on Interference for details. The band played:

0. End of In A Little While
1. Miss Sarajevo
2. Boy Falls From The Sky
3. City Of Blinding Lights
4. Vertigo, partly instrumental
5. Crazy Tonight / Relax (snippet)
6. Sunday Bloody Sunday / Get Up Stand Up (snippet) - an unknown rap preceded the snippet, though Jay-Z was not in attendance
7. Scarlet
8. Walk On
9. One Tree Hill, largely instrumental; Bono introduced it with a mention of the Pike River mine disaster
10. Ultra Violet
11. Boy Falls From The Sky (again)
12. Edge plays the intro to Where The Streets Have No Name

That was all for the night; join us again tomorrow for the concert. We'll see if One Tree Hill makes its much-anticipated appearance, what unreleased songs are performed, and whether Scarlet is played live for just the second time ever.
