U2 rehearse in Mexico City, 09/05

U2 have arrived in Mexico City, and last night (local time), 9 May, they did their first rehearsal ahead of the presumably final leg of the 360° Tour. The full band were present for this rehearsal and ran through the following songs during a soundcheck that lasted almost an hour and a half. Those listed in italics are confirmed to have been rehearsed multiple times:

Magnificent
Even Better Than The Real Thing
Crazy Tonight
/ Discothèque (snippet) / Please (snippet)
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Discothèque riff/chorus
Zooropa
Unknown Caller riff

U2.com has posted an article insinuating that Unknown Caller was rehearsed in full, but fans outside the stadium only heard the riff, not the full song. So take that for what it's worth.

Those snippets of Discothèque and Please are quite a tease for Pop fans, aren't they? Especially the Please snippet, as that song has not been played in full since 2 December 2001. On the 360° Tour, Pop is the only album from which U2 have not played a song in full. Let's hope that changes.

We also have some photos from the venue, taken by our friend terrorsittich. You can view them here.
