The JT died in a storm earliert his year if i remember right. To me it looks like a painted background ... but it is not for sure. Too bad that those very nice pics are not included on the MCD website. I dig them out with some search :)

Mac your right I read the history of the trees(3)...how utterly sad for the people of New Zealand...and the two men that were attacking the tree for political purposes need their heads examined!!!! They took the tree out because the storm was the last straw and they were afraid of the hazzard...JB Belfast you can find the history of it on www.atu2.com if you are interested in details or go to New Zealands landmaks...grrrr kitty spreading the U2 magic in sprinkles of pixies' dust....[psssst beings were talking of tall trees..ummm Matt how tall are you in feet and inches?]grrrr
