Recently, we reported that shows in Baltimore and Pittsburgh are rumoured to be added to U2's 2011 North American leg of the 360° Tour. Now rumours of gigs in other cities are surfacing.
The latest hot rumour doing the rounds online is that U2 are going to return to Tennessee for the first time since the Popmart Tour and perform in Nashville. The rumour suggests that the concert will take place on 2 July 2011 at Vanderbilt Stadium. There is a sufficient gap in the schedule between the Miami show on 29 June 2011 and the Chicago show on 5 July 2011. Furthermore, since Nashville is on the way from Miami to Chicago, this rumour seems pretty plausible. A somewhat weaker rumour hints that tickets for this show could go on sale as soon as the 30th of October.
Moving to a different part of the US now, and there is a rumour that Boston will indeed get a third show after the two in 2009. This is a vague rumour without a date or other details. The likely venue is again Gillette Stadium, despite its unpopularity with many concertgoers in 2009.
Stay tuned - it looks like past rumours of U2 using the tour postponement to add extra cities to the itinerary may be true.
