The second show in Montreal and last for the month of November contained some surprises. After opening for U2, The Arcade Fire came back out on stage during the first encore and joined U2 for a full performance of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart. This song was regularly snippeted on the Joshua Tree and Lovetown Tours in With Or Without You but has been less frequent since then, and has never been performed in full by U2 before. In addition to this, Miracle Drug was played for the first time in a fortnight, reclaiming its setlist position from Original Of The Species, and All Because Of You returned after missing five shows.
For those interested in trivia, it should be noted that November is only the second month of the whole tour during which U2 has NOT played Vertigo twice in one show (the other month was March, which had only two concerts). U2 first played Vertigo twice in a show in Seattle in late April and it has been done at least once a month since then.
