Today, U2 performed for the first time in ten years in Alberta, and for the first time in fourteen years in Edmonton specifically. Earlier in the day, the band's crew soundchecked Zooropa and City Of Blinding Lights, followed by U2 themselves soundchecking the new version of Magnificent.
The setlist followed the new pattern established at the last few shows. For the present, I Will Follow and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me seem to have graduated to a more permanent role in the setlist. Furthermore, All I Want Is You and Stay are both sticking around after being very scarce as recently as three weeks ago. Moment Of Surrender was dedicated to the people of Slave Lake, Alberta, a town that has been devastated by forest fires.
