@LikeASong_90 Stump Ax is ongoing; Ax has just been a bit busy of late and hasn’t had time to look at part two yet!
Rest in peace, Jo Clayton. Condolences to Adam and the rest of his family.
Finally confirmation that AB is remastered. Amazon.ca says “Original recording remastered” for 1 & 2 CD sets
@Borjaosant Already in the database
@ElevationRadio Not yet; time for editing has been limited for me and it was a very long recording, so progress is slow at the moment.
What could have been: White as Snow live: http://youtu.be/7UXCnjCV… Lemon do it again.
Amazon.ca has #AchtungUber at $309. Amazon.com lists it at $660. Americans, buy from Canada! Even with shipping, still much cheaper.
Thanks to @EdgeFest for the link. Incredible quality.
Remember that impromptu One Tree Hill U2 played to close out Chicago? This may be the best recording yet! http://youtu.be/t1Z5vtlr…
I signed up so that Amazon would notify me when it was available. Still waiting for the email. Thanks to those who sent me the link!
@PaU2mt Will probably be sold through another outlet there. If you live close to the US, maybe arrange to deliver there and pick it up later
Also on Amazon.ca, Super Deluxe is $116, 4-vinyl is $100. Deluxe and regular yet to be priced. DVD still needs a different show than Sydney.
I stand corrected; with GST added on, the Uber on Amazon.ca is about $350. Still over $100 cheaper than importing it from UK or Europe.
Yeah, that’s still pretty bloody expensive. But way cheaper than shipping, import fees, & currency conversion from Universal ($450 vs $310)
If you’re waiting for Amazon to email the AB reissue price, wait no longer. Amazon.ca has the Uber at $308.99 http://amzn.to/qpnMVT
The ironic thing is that, despite it costing a bundle, the Achtung Baby reissue will force me to finally learn how to be smart with my money
@Birdman987 Got them now. They will ne posted during the day. Thanks :-)
@FernandoDante It’s not just you. Everything said so far since the announcement indicates it is a reissue, not a remaster
Sage advice on the Achtung Baby Uber Deluxe pricing: http://bit.ly/pbqnTe
I’ll answer even more questions in a few days; I’m a bit sick of typing up trivia answers after those first 15. ;)
Ax here! I’ve just answered some of the Stump Ax questions. You folks are good! First answers here: http://u2.gs/kH
I wonder if the next U2.com subscriber exclusive CD will comprise tracks from the Achtung Baby remaster… #WeAllKnowTheAnswerToThat
@atu2 I guess Edge has been so busy with the tour that he has had no time to oversee the remastering process this time around.
@wxander Zooropa looks to be more of a bonus. Everything else is Achtung.
Thanks to everyone who participated in our Stump Ax! contest. Questions have been sent. Ax will get to it when he wakes up.
So even though Zooropa is included in the Achtung remaster… who wants to bet we’ll get a Zooropa remaster next year?
Question though; where is the $600 figure for the Uber Deluxe coming from? I see no price on Amazon. #AchtungBaby
Oh damn, the Achtung Baby remasters are announced. I so, so, so, SO badly want the $600 one…. damn my feeble expenses!
@wind_mill_lane This is for the 360° tour only.
@wind_mill_lane 69 Unreleased, 56 Zooropa, 49 Non-album songs, 48 Boy, 44 October, 33 Rattle And Hum, 24 Cover songs, 3 B-Sides
360° tour stats: 110 shows with 2606 full songs played. Songs by album: 546 NLOTH, 400 ATYCLB, 394 AB, 322 JT, 220 HTDAAB #u2360
Our Stump Ax! contest closes in just 12 hours; now is your last chance to see if you can outsmart our setlistorian! http://bit.ly/oPuYdg
For those looking forward to our podcast introspective of the U2 360 Tour… it will come in two parts. Part One has a kickass musical end.
Classic concert of the day: 2005-03-28, San Diego. Return of An Cat Dubh, Zoo Station, and Running to Stand Still. http://bit.ly/qDmpNL
@stuinboca Please use team at u2gigs.com … the old one might be outdated by now :-)
@stuinboca Yes :-)
@stuinboca Ah, now I know you :-)
@stuinboca easiest is mailing them to team at u2gigs.com
@Birdman987 When have they been mailed? I got nothing fresh here to the team address. Matt
@dieZypresse Saving for the next tour ;-)
@iambradk Just added to the set. Thank you!
@popartist61 Oh yes :) It just looked a bit weird to me as well before I checked a bit deeper. Sometimes things can go wrong with stats :)
We are still collecting photos from all U2 tours. If you want to show your concert photos on U2gigs submit them here http://u2.gs/kD
@popartist61 Just checked and it seems to be ok this way with 31 cover songs. A Gavin Friday concert in 2009 has 7 of them alone.
@popartist61 something seems to be off with your stats. I’ll look into it. Matt
@Zoomo72 That’s because the Barcelona dress rehearsal does count as various date and not a regular 360 show.
Just finished recording the first U2Gigs podcast with Ax. Nice long conversation full of rambling detours. Hope you all enjoy the edit!
@DenDen1987 They were out of time in the War sessions and needed a closing song. Adam had left so Edge picked up the bass and created 40.
@Zoomo72 I counted 15 360 dates. Where are you getting the 16th from?
