U2 in Chile basically confirmed; rumours of extra Brazilian shows
These days, U2.com is leaking like a sieve. Remember last month, when they posted a listing for a third show in Mexico City before announcing it a few hours later? They have done it again. Deliberately?
A listing has appeared on U2.com today for a concert in Santiago, Chile on 25 March 2011. Thanks to Miora for alerting us to the existence of this listing; you can view it here, or if U2.com should take it down, check out this screenshot. This date is the exact date that has been rumoured for some time. If the third Mexico City show is anything to go by, hopefully there will be an official announcement in the coming hours or days.
By the way, sticking with South America, rumour has it that Sao Paulo is in line for up to three concerts; once the 9 April 2011 show sells out, an extra show will be added on 10 April, and if the demand is sufficient enough, a third will follow on 13 April. A further rumour suggests that if all three sell out, shows will then be added in Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre. Take that for what it's worth.
