i got to wondering last night ( during the dark hours when i couldn't sleep) whether or not the band ever hook themselves up on line and visit this website and follow the posts? any thoughts ? i reckon that they probably have visited this site? heh, i wonder if they have ever posted anything under a pseudonim ?
From: ??? on 2005-12-19 14:10:10
Of course they have posted zk, but what kind of posts have it been?Hello I am Bono, would be rather silly and noone would ever believe him, execpt in their dreams, with a little hope, that it might really be him.I also doubt the drooling comments are not from them.. Then again, I think Edge is hot, Boomie thinks Edge is hot, surely the rest of the band can think the same.Oh well, we might never get to know? And I myself don't really mind. What I do mind is that they once again skipped Finland!!So if they do come in and leave comments, I surely hope it will be a timetable.. U2 in Finland - march 27th would be perefct..
From: Susanne on 2005-12-19 15:57:23
Amen to that, ???. U2, we need you here in Finland!!!
From: Ingrid on 2005-12-19 16:56:25
funny that you ask Zk..... lucia met THEE man in err Boston, and handed him a paper with the adress of this site on it, and a nickname only lucia knows.... so who knows, he might visit it.... but I don't know if she wrote the normal site adress or the one to the last comments page... I hope the last one... otherwise, no offence, but I don't think B would find it himself..

heh susannei was in Helsinki on Wednesday and Thursday last week...working with the telecom guys at Nokia ....i work for Bouygues....i was staying at the scandic marski just across the road from the Stockman....really enjoyed my stay...although it didn't snow....boo hooo! it was almost christmas in helsinki and it didn't snow..and for a guy down in France ( Nice ) i was a bit dissapointed....you know when i was in a taxi cab i heard on the radio City of Blinding Lights....i thought it was cool cos Helsinki was light up like a christmas tree....(angel of harlem )...and it got me thinking where the boys would have played if they had visited the beautiful northern city of helsinki.well anyway now i'm back in frog. i'm spending christmas with my charlie...she's looking forward to the christmas sparkle...you know we are to be wed on the 8th April next year.i'm over and out.so here is a SHOUT OUT LOUD to helsinki and Susanne...

Hey ZK What is up!! Long time no comment, great news on your up coming wedding. I forgot, is your fiance French? We have talked endlessly about weather they come on this site or not. I would think they might, since it would give a good barrometer of how the fans think of them, and if lets say you are feeling a bit down on yourself for the day, what a great pick me up to come on here and read about how people are obsessed with you!! Soulcat thinks thay have becuase during the Elevation tour they said somethings that were discussed here and would make no sense otherwise to anyone else. It was random stuff too. Not the usual on how we girls think they are all hot. So, careful what you say here, they may be reading for the shits and giggles of it all!!Good to have you back ZK even though I guess you still aren't speaking to me.
From: Soulcatgirl on 2005-12-20 02:19:19
Screams "shits and giggles* .....hahaha OMG Oct I say that all the time.....hahaha I don't know anybody else that says that too!!!! hooting with laughter.....*highfives Oct*....but I usually use it when I'm being derogatory.... like something that pisses me i say just more "shits and giggles from the peanut gallery* ...as in refering to our government officials...!lolAnyways ... congrat to ZK .... *appologizes for mistaking you for someone else....ooops sorry*I do think they come here girls...(and fellows).... last tour Triple really wanted to see Edge poor bunny was exploding for the MAN....and I remember she said he needed to give her a sign preferable with the three of something (we were naturally kidding around) and low and behold Edge shows up on the frigg'n Tonight Show with a shirt that has Three freek'n eagle feathers on it....bing-da-bing....we had also been talking about eagles being bald and so was Edge!!!....so...... Ok maaaaaybe I'm imaginiing it *smileslike loonytoon* but still what are the odds???????????? hahahaThat was just one out of alot of silly goofy things but I swear they read us.... *kitty looking up to the stars bidding on a wish*... ;)))))))Started reading your link the other day ....had to go so now gonna give it another shot.... *thumbsup*

well the vertigo tour has drawn to an end for 2005....and today there are only 5 days til chrimble tide...WOW! I just love chrismas...its a magical time of the year....but its sad that the tour has wrapped itself up after all those months...i remember how excited i was to learn of the first gig all the way back on March 26th ( the day after my birthday ) and now here we are.you know i tried to get tickets for one of the shows in Australia...but didn't make it...i'd never been and thought that it would make a rather cool honeymoon present & destination for charlie and i, but things didn't work out...so i guess the shows' over! anyway, its been a great year scaling the heights of VERTIGO with the best band in the world and i'd just like to say that i'm really greatful to this web-site for having given me the chance to follow the band across north america, through ZOOROPE and back again across the pond. highlights for me..well, of course it was the show in Nice ( great night - really great ).... song of the tour....thats a tricky one. for me i'd split this category into "the best song played live off the new album" and then " the best song played live off other albums". so in the first category..."best song played live off new album"..its a toss up between City of Blinding Lights and Vertigo...but i'd go with COBL ( by the way Charlie just loves "Yaweh" )best song played live from other albums..."The Fly"...see Chicago DVD for confirmation ...great great tune - Edge is on fire! although seeing them close the show with 40 also knocks it out of the ball park for me toobest surprise: seeing Miss Sarajevo making it into the play list and hearing on the Chicago DVD how well Original of the Species turned out liveI'd also that i've got hooked on "Love n Peace"...its my latest favourite...i play it over and over in my carstrange surprise: seeing that the band chose to drop Miracle Drug out of the line up during the 3rd Leg....( if i hadn't already see them play and was at one of the later shows...i'd have to say that i'd feel dissapointed to have missed out on that song...) Did anyone find out why they chose to drop it...best added extra: seeing U2 & Macca open up the July 2nd gig in Londons Hyde Park playing Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.... biggest dissapointment and regret...having an on-line row with Soulcat & Oct. i prefer to leave that in the pasthopes for 2006: that U2 get back into the studio once the tour is over and start recording the next album. that they release the Milan DVD and its as good as the Chicago show.Soooo..that pretty much sums up my year with U2. if the band do actually read these posts..i'm sure they won't give too much of a toss what i think, but heh, maybe you guys might want to share your highs and lows of the last 8-9 months since they have been on tour. otherwise, i wondered if any of you guys out there know where Sushi is...is she still posting ? finally, i'm not sure if i already said it or not, but Merry Christmas to you all!zk over and out

Oj ZK, you made me all smiley smiley with your nice comment about Helsinki... I'm sorry you didn't get to see it snowing here, now the ground is white, although there should be more snow.... When I'll be walking streets of Helsinki today, I'm probably humming City of blinding lights... :) Glad to hear also about your coming wedding, congratulations already now!Hmm, U2 reading our comments... Heehee, if they are, I'm glad they haven't got all scared of all these lovely&grazy people who are commenting on this site... ;) But after all, we have always known that they are having good sense of humour....And when it comes to my highlights of the year with U2, I would say they are these sites, that have made me feel like I'm part of the Vertigo tour, although I couldn't get to see any concerts, and naturally I was waiting Vertigo-dvd... I know it's not the same than seeing them live, but that's all I have and at the moment I'm happy with it. I would say that U2 has deserved their break, hope they are having a great Christmas, Merry Christmas to everybody else too!Oh and about Sushi, I think she was commenting here under some other pic just a while ago...
From: Ingrid on 2005-12-20 16:08:36
heh susanne, I bet they'd call the madhouse for us instantly!! no I don't think they need to check these sites for fan opinions, cmon! they know they are loved by millions and millions of ppl all over the world, they don't need confirmation of it, they get that trough touring :)it would be so incredibly cool tho!and Zk, I think sushi was busy or so... and I loved The Fly on the chicago dvd :) Bono playing guitar and we actually hearing it.... love it :) heh favorite vertigo outfit?? COP BONO ! this year has been a very very u2 year.. since my fandom started last january..... and I hope by this january to complete my cd-dvd collection and wait for the new cd to come... I am very dissapointed they didn't play miracle drug anymore! It's my fave song of the new album... :(btw does anybody know, on the vertigo dvd, the 2nd disc... during rehearsals they play a song, and I don't know it... edge plays accoustic guitar, and I think it was played right after miracle drug(or before it :S) it has a quite heavy bass part... can somebody tell me what song it is?

Hey ZK nice recap of the U2 tour. I was so delighted to be able to see them twice and the second time being so out of this world, was the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae!! So is your Birthday March 25th then? That is a special day at our house too. My youngest daughter has the same birth date. According to the zodiac stuff,if you believe all that, my sign and yours should be best buddies along with gemini. Soulcat is a gemini, so that means we three should all be buddies no? Ok that was a bit off the track of our guys here. I'm truly sad that they are finnished here in the U.S. but the sooner they are done, they will start on the new one. According to The Edge, there is a new one in the works so,lets hope it is only two years and not four, before they return again.Sorry to hear that you couldn't get tickets for the Australia show. I teased my hubby about going with him to Austrailia on his business trip to go see them there, also he will be in Tokyo at the same time they will be there. Maybe you could go on E-bay to see if you could get tickets somehow. Peace out to all of you and Have a very merry Christmas.

I watched all the specials on Bono *and the Gates* over the weekend...made me cry...*sniff* ....listening to John Lennon's compilation anthology right now and.....hell its making me cry too...!You know I don't have a favorite part or a favorite song ...only favorite moments when I was assured tickets to the tour....that is the one big leap... after that its all *shits and giggles* for me...hihihihihihihi...ok Oct used it in a happy go lucky way!.... *thumbs up*The album is always a super charge.... or a new song....I get a jump start like my batteries gone dead then they shooot me full of adrenaline and off I go.... they FIX me they feed me they give me all I want and then some for a snack later to munch on when I'm in the creative dumpster.....I breath U2 ...*inhales exhales*.Ok confessions from of a mad fan.....grrrLennon's singing "Cold Turkey" a song that Bono sang at the Amnesty Concert......must say Bono's is the most kickass of the two....*am I bias?*...*shakes head no just truthful*...My four shows were exquisite just as all the shows I've seen... I really hate to compare (even though its natural) because they're all unique there all a moment in my life and its like....what? ok lets say its like having babies... somebody comes along and says gee which one hurt the least or which one is the most beautiful?....the answer is they all hurt like hell and there all beauty's but come tomorrow ot the next and your perception may all change so why compare? ....I didn't think anything would master Live aide's BAd...but then JT snuck up and floored me *thought Bono was the sexiest thing ever....then came Zoo and set the record on visual sexuality *blushes from the thrill of it*...and you think nope can't beat that Cd or tour ....awe then creeps in that magnificent gem Pop and I hear Please and I immediately get into a verbal argument with a Pastor over church hypocracy and its pointed out none to subtly my own blockbuster hypocracy......and then wham here is ATYCLBehind...and as usual they are so into the heart of the vibes and the beat of the world there f---ing album speaks of the future oh boy does it ever as it turns out it was right around the corner hitting all of us right up our arses...*thump*Then cabong here's Vertigo and our boys are throwing all our asses right off the edge of that cliff...and they don't give a cockerspaniel weither your dizzy or scared of heights or unsure of the pitfalls cause the u2motto is " the scarier the better so brace yourself"...cause they're taking each and every one of us along with them even if its kicking and screaming!! Guess what nobody wears a parachute its a f---ing free fall and where we land is a big fat question mark ? But what the hell ...you got something better to do today or tomorrow?......grrrZk that article was good as long as the writer stopped using the same old U2 cliches that we've heard a million times....hahaha I know yes this coming from a cat that mentions Bono's ass none stop..but still.. :)) ..I did like it....I liked the way he described Bono's relentless restlessness to learn and approach new concepts and life in general....THATS WHY HE IS NOT BORING and his lyrics are so persuasively interesting!!!....I'm a Gemini and I get bored very easily....*waves to Oct and ZK* are we best friends???????hhehehhe...grrr Oh man I'm sleepless so I'm rambling and preaching for crying out loud!...need to hit fluffy and take an afternoon nap...ZZZZZZgrrrrpssst have moved on to Jimi Hendrix from the Top of the Pops...sings "Purple Haze all my brain.....excuse me while I kiss the sky".....Zk, me and Bono kiss the sky *winks*....grrrr

Hey Soulcat, I first heard "Shits and giggles" from a friend of mine that was from the east coast. She always used it for a laugh and that is how I always took it. I think it is very funny. My dad has a funny one that my sister and I always die when he says it. This one is more derrogatory (sp?) he says "You better not tangle A** Holes with me!! It is such a gross image that it is quite funny as well. I just read an aritcle on the atu2 site that is very long, that really sets the hope and tone for the up coming album they are going to do. Bono seems so enthusiastic about the future that I can't wait to see what they do next!! And go for that wild ride kicking and screaming .I'll tell what though, next go around I'm spending a bit more money and I WILL get better seats. It has been a great nine months on here though and I think I'll stay for a bit until they are finnished with the whole tour. After that???? Not sure. How about everyone else?

Wow Soulcat, you stayed up that late, and into the morning? My eyes would be PH"S if I did that. PH's is another of my dad's things he says when he is tired." P*SS Holes in the snow!!"the Article I read was the Dec. 18th Observer one. I didn't get to finnish it,but it was pretty good. Just for the Sh**ts and giggles of It,(Ha ah ,Hee Hee) I listened to Bono's pod cast from Rolling Stone on my iPod last night. Just to hear his cute voice. I wonder if the second part of that pod cast is available. I must go check. We will miss you in January, I guess it will be slim pickings for January as far as pictures to comment, until they get going again!! We will be thinking of you if you do disapear for a bit. Have a fantastic Christmas. Are you staying home or going to family? We are making a treck a bit north to my mother in law's place. I'm gald I don't have to cook for a million people, yet I hate traveling on Christmas day. It is only about and hour and half, but I still don't like it. I get twitchy in the car.

Oct we here say: Hes even to stupid to p**s a hole in the snow... enough from me on that.ZK my best and worst was Miss Sarajevo at the concert in Munich. Best because they played it and worst because he sang: ohohoh and not huhuhu in the high voice (know what I mean) and than again best because it was so funny. Everyone sang it in highvoice only B not....had a big laugh bout that. There are more highs and lows but cant remember one...too tired!
