Just wanted to let you know that as I'll be travelling to London in a couple of hours, I'll be off for about a week. But I'll be back and I won't forget about you! Till then, keep the comments running, I'll see ya! :-)

She's an lucky.. thing, that Slateblue.. but now to you SCG!!! Remember, I can easily step on you! And then what? The only look Bono will give you, is the one of repulse as he realises, the spot on the red carpet, is a squashed pygmy!!
From: ??? on 2001-08-15 01:13:10
.. but SCG, you are still my inventive worded hero...
From: soul cat girl on 2001-08-15 18:04:30
thanks edge'ett...I think?....Keep those clodd-hoppers to yourself please..I don't want to be mince-meat kitty food..grrrr....I really really am jealous of Slate....you and HV need a set of her tickets!!!!....their officially coming back to the states...but I'm a-fraidy cat....I'm praying I ( and Sarah) get tickets but it's luck that counts.....toe-nails crossed...meooow
From: ??? on 2001-08-16 03:18:48
Yes, it's luck that counts, and that is why I do not buy Slates explanation, for the tickets!! I mean, with my luck, I'm lucky to get the bus-ticket home every day!!! But I hope you and sarah are a lot luckier, when the time comes.. and I really hope Slate reminds Edge about the t-shirt.. and the topless thing.. and if she gets her hands on him again, she won't let go.. and he smiles that smile and Slate takes a picture.. and he finally realises, that's it's me he's been looking for, no need for that song anymore then..
From: Susanne on 2001-08-16 19:37:44

I'm back! I'm back! And suffering from a very bad aftershow depression... *sob* Anyway, what a trip! Oh, and ???: Luck is also when a friend of you decides he has seen enough shows and doesn't want to go to London anymore and then sells you his tickets... :-)
From: ??? on 2001-08-26 23:35:28
What friend? Why don't have I such friends Slate? My friends.. do I have any friends, anyway?? They can't be friends as they don't offer me to buy tickets to see U2!!
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-27 01:24:06
Oooohh, don't say such things, ???... I bet you have some wonderful friends! Well, it was some mixture of luck and coincidence, I'd say... being on the right time at the right place or so. But I would have gone there as well if I hadn't had the chance of getting tickets beforehand. You could still buy tickets for each show for face value at the box office!
From: HomieVox on 2001-08-27 06:55:44
S--t! Slate...you lucky human being!!! Now...tell us, c'mon, c'mon...what was it like?? I want details!! Lots of U2 luv 2U!! ***

It was just incredible. For me, four of the best shows on this tour I've seen! The band was amazing, and Bono was just not from this world. I still don't know how he managed to do pull through and do those shows, really... if I had been in his place, I couldn't do it... but then again, maybe he needs just that in a moment like this, maybe it helps him to cope with everything. And apart from the sadness and loss, when he introduced Kite, he also seemed to be somewhat relieved that his father doesn't have to suffer any more. It was very touching... I cried a lot, I must say.Apart from that, I must admit, following Edge, Larry got the second most attention from me. He's just terrific, I so much enjoy watching him! And Edge, of course, is a feast for the eyes! The way he plays, the way he looks, the way he moves... I want to soak everything in and not forget a single detail... *sigh*Being at a U2 show, I always feel I need four pairs of eyes, one for each band member. It's like, you watch one of them at at time and miss the other three...
From: Tanja on 2001-08-27 10:38:20
Slate, thank you so much. I nearly have to cry even when I read your words... girls, I will leave now, go home and dream...and dream...take care!

**heart racing at the speed of light**My f***ing God!! You've just lightened my day!! Wow, it must've been amazing, well, I never got the damn chance to go to a U2 gig! But for a few seconds...i've been there, thanx 2 ya!! There might be many great, amazing artists and bands in this planet...but U2...they're something else!!!! They're above the sky, they're above God, they're just the best!! U2 luv all over the milky way!! ***

Bye Tanja, and girl, stick to the U2 world, dream about our men...cause that's what I'm gonna do!! ***
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-27 11:24:45
You're so damn right, HV... whatever they are, they simply are something else! Never before have songs, has music touched me in that way... so much it leaves me spellbound, amazed, stirred... I don't know if I find the right words to describe it, but I'm sure you all know what I mean. And so when I'm standing there, and Bad fades into Streets with all the flashlights turning on, I just can't help it... I'm crying, for joy, for happiness, for the mere gift of being alive and being a part of all this... the music flows through me and I lose myself in the melody... this guitar, this drumbeat, this bassline... I start jumping up and down, and when I turn around and look into people's faces, all lit up, they are so radiating and happy, and I can only think of how good it feels to be alive... no matter what dark times you're going through, those are the moments when you know it's all worth it. And then, Bono starts to sing, and I join in at the top of my voice, coz all this energy has to get out of me somehow, otherwise I'd burst -Sorry, I'm getting carried away a bit, but I'm sure you'll understand...
From: HomieVox on 2001-08-27 11:43:42
Oh, that's ok! That's pure U2 luv! U2 are just one of the sweetest, most expensive, heaviest, yet legal drugs in the world! And that's because they can get us high...higher than the sun!!Got carried too, but, well, I admit I'm nuts over these guys!! ***
From: soul cat girl on 2001-08-27 14:58:45
You know it's hard to describe a visit to our boys because if your like me I kind of go into U2 mode for two days before and after it...so it's weird...I can also become a raging screeching bad cat if anybody gets in my way also!! When I'm there I will admit it ok I barely glance at the other boys I am zeroed in on you know who with a dangerous intensity (do Not get in front of me)or my binoc's..I watch every thing he does I don't have time to dance or sing though the whole effing place is singing louder than the band most of the times I've seen them anyway and the places feel like there about to shake off there foundations...it's very amusing and exhilerating (gawd that's an understatement because it's beyond description)..I'll tell ya though the parts I luv the best, the ones I personally wait on tippy toes for are when Bono gets so far deep deep into the music he's zoning and he starts running his hands over his chest and pulling on his clothes....ummmmm baby yep it's the B-E-S-T..grrrr just spreading the Bono luv from the caboose of the luv train..ha ha ha ...grrr
From: ??? on 2001-08-28 00:09:26
.. well, you know that I have never seen our boys, but I would think that I couldn't take my eyes off Edgy.. I would just stare him play, look at him move and I wouldn't hear anything.. He's just so fascinating to my eyes, I'm sure everything else would just disappear.. it almost happens when I see him on TV.. or clips here on the Internet.. To me it's so amazing that something like him really excists.. it's weird with tastes isn't it?? I've heard a few comments about my taste, in fact, but what can I do.. to me he is perfection!!
From: HomieVox on 2001-08-28 06:47:00
If I went a U2 cncert, I'd probably take a couple of glimpses at Adam, Larry and Edge...and then my whole attention would go to bon, of course...oh, and do I dream of that... ***
From: Tanja on 2001-08-28 06:58:20
Its really hard NOT to look at Bono darling when they are playing. If you are Bono-fan or not, its just not possible to ignore him (I tryed it because it was scary for me see that my eyes got only one object). He is a god on stage...of course with three add. gods. I just stood and stared and wasnt able to move in any way. Normally I dance and make parties when I am on a concert, but this was just too valuable for that...
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-28 09:19:23
This is interesting... I can relate to what you're saying, Tanja. It's funny, though, because I feel each show is different for me. At some shows, I'm just having a great time, singing and clapping along and having a real ball, and at others I get so emotional I simply cannot sing. I just can't. I have this lump in my throat and stand there and just stare and soak it all in. It's really funny, coz it's always the same band, and yet, every night is different. That's what I try to explain to people when they ask me why I see so many shows. But most of them don't get it...
From: Tanja on 2001-08-28 09:25:19
Ach Slate, you are such a lucky person because you have seen so many gigs..I just have been in Cologne. But I will never forget it and try to have it mind as long as possible...
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-28 09:28:29
Tanja, I've also been to Cologne! And I must say, despite having seen quite a couple since then, the Cologne shows are still two of my favourites! Where were you?
From: Tanja on 2001-08-28 09:33:12
We had very bad seets at the opposite side of the stage at the first floor. But I was happy to get tickets, think they were sold out in a few hours, like everytime. Where have you been? I am happy to hear that you say that the show in Cologne was one of your favourits, think you must know it after seeing so many shows...:)
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-28 09:41:20
Yes, it was absolutely incredible. The audience was the best so far on this tour (from the shows I've seen, of course I can't comment on the rest), during the show and even before! Remember the waves? That was amazing, I've never seen that again! And of course the band was great, too. I queued from 8.30 am or so and was lucky to get into the heart. Those were my first Elevation shows, definitely two nights to remember! Have you ordered photos from Matthias?
From: Tanja on 2001-08-28 09:45:46
No pics ordered, I havent known that this is possible! Thanks for the tip! Dont you have waves in your arenas? Then it must be typical german thing, created in football stadiums. But its calles La Ola, so sounds spanish ;-)
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-28 11:20:56
Yes, you can Abzüge bestellen bei Matthias! ;-) He offers prints of his pictures from all German shows. Just go to http://muehlbradt.com/webshop/ and have a look.By the way, I'm from Germany too - which part do you come from?
From: Tanja on 2001-08-29 01:13:34
Slate! I am begeistert! I am living in the Ruhrgebiet, in the city of the football champion of hearts.. if you know what I mean. And you? And thanks for Matts Adress!
From: Tanja on 2001-08-29 01:14:58
Btw, so why dont you know the wave?? ;-)
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-29 03:30:51
Hihi Tanja, that's great! :-))) I'm living in the Rhein-Main-Gebiet, in the south of Frankfurt. So there's at least two people (and HV, I think) living in the same time zone! ;-) Well, I knew the wave, but I didn't know it was typical for Germany. I expected it more in Holland or England, but there they didn't get it going. Cologne was the very best wave I've seen! :-)
From: Tanja on 2001-08-29 03:39:29
Think ??? is in our zone as well..I will be in Frankfurt next week and will send you a U2-kiss-fern-gruss from my hotel! I think the wave is a typical football-thing, and maybe the audience in Cologne were socker-fans as well...does our boys play football??;-)
From: Slateblue on 2001-08-29 04:08:18
So enjoy yourself in Frankfurt! I live about half an hour away. Hihi, I don't think our boys play football... though it would be fun to watch, I suppose. Larry would probably make the best football player of the four of them! :-)???: Are you in our time zone?

Finland is nice.. especially when big events are happening.. now let's see if something comes in mind.. well, like Elevation-tour.. sure you heard about that one?? .. those happenings just seem to skip over Finland.. sure this is a nice place..
