U2 perform on Jimmy Fallon's show

Today, U2 recorded their set on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, to be broadcast on Friday, 8 May. Reports at this stage are somewhat incomplete, but thanks to one tweet we know that U2 performed the following setlist (possibly not in order):

  1. Beautiful Day
  2. Angel Of Harlem
  3. Song For Someone
U2 have been practicing Beautiful Day and Song For Someone during their recent rehearsals in Vancouver, but fans outside the Pacific Coliseum had not reported hearing Angel Of Harlem. This is the first time that U2 have performed more than one older song at a promotional appearance for Songs Of Innocence (with the exception of the U2 Minus 1 gig without Bono). Previous promo gigs have featured Stuck In A Moment as the sole representative of the band's back catalogue.

The band have also filmed some clips for Fallon's show, including one recreating Bono's bicycle accident last November. After tonight's filming, the band and Fallon then dressed up as street musicians and went busking at the Grand Central-42nd Street subway station. They performed three songs:

  1. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
  2. Desire
  3. Angel Of Harlem
There is a short Instagram video online, a couple of photos on Twitter, and our database entry for this performance is here.
