Videos of U2 in Sao Paulo, 13/04

The Sao Paulo show on 13 April 2011 was the end of the South American leg of 360° Tour, and for us, it was a sort of ending too. Webmaster Macphisto, he of the unparalleled videos, saw his last 360° concert, having attended over half of the shows played so far. So for the last time this tour, we have our own videos to share with you. Though don't worry, we will still be reporting on every show through to the end, plus our friend terrorsittich will be at the concerts in Mexico City next month and we will share his videos.

Firstly, what you've all been hanging out for - the second performance of Zooropa in almost eighteen years:

Secondly, it was perhaps fitting that at Matt's last show, U2 (with Seu Jorge) whipped out a cover of The Model by his fellow countrymen, Kraftwerk. Here is his footage:

There is a wide range of other videos from this shows on our YouTube channel. They include Even Better Than The Real Thing, Vertigo, One followed by the All I Want Is You snippet, Magnificent, and others.

Matt has also taken videos of some songs by Muse during their support slots on the South American leg. Go to our YouTube channel to find them all, and here is a sample from last night - the opener, a scorcher from Origin Of Symmetry called Citizen Erased:

So, this is it for Matt, whose videos I (Axver) think have been a defining part of the experience of following this tour online. They captured not just the sound of the band, but the feeling of being there. The quality of his videos was matched by his promptness at getting all the special moments he filmed online extremely quickly. Just a couple of hours after a show was over, we knew there would be high quality footage online of a concert's best moments. Nobody else has achieved what Matt has achieved, not even the official channels. So I'm sure our regular visitors would all join me now in extending a massive thank you to Matt for all his work and dedication. Would somebody from the U2 camp please commission him to do U2's next DVD?
