U2 performed their second of two shows in Montreal today. After this gig they return to the US for the final twelve shows of the first leg of the Experience + Innocence Tour, as well as a special one-off at New York's Apollo Theatre.

The band did an extended soundcheck today. It included All Because of You and three songs not yet performed this tour: The Electric Co., Angel of Harlem, and When Love Comes to Town. The most recent regular tour performances of those three songs were all between May and November 2015, though Angel of Harlem and When Love Comes to Town have had subsequent off-tour appearances.

The soundcheck was prophetic for All Because of You, which returned to the setlist after missing the previous six concerts. It was last performed on 16 May 2018. The other songs are likely being rehearsed for the Apollo show.

In Montreal, the band have added some extra flourishes to the start. The MRI sequence that introduces Love Is All We Have Left is now reprised at the end of the song and is followed by a taped count-in for The Blackout.

The band appear to have been impressed with the enthusiasm and volume of the fans in Montreal over both nights. Bono made numerous remarks to this effect, remarks that he has not made to other cities previously on the current tour, including a quip in the intro to Desire that "we desire to be in the room with the greatest rock'n'roll fans on the planet!"
