And that’s the end of the gig, folks.

Moment Of Surrender.

 via web

Fun fact: MW has been second-last often, but this is the first time it has ever actually closed a main set.

 via web

With Or Without You.

 via web

Ultra Violet time.

 via web

Now, it seems, it’s time for the encore break.

 via web

Very, very brief Norwegian Wood snippet at the end of MW.

 via web

Holy shit, didn’t see MW coming. (Or, for that matter, anything but an encore break!)

 via web

Mysterious Ways after One!

 via web

If the previous post wasn’t a give-away, next song is One.

 via web

Here’s Bishop Tutu. So Zagreb II was seemingly no mistake and U2 HAVE realised Tutu belongs before “ONE! ONE!” better than Streets…

 via web

And it was I Still Haven’t Found’s 500th live appearance earlier.

 via web

By the way, people, this is the 666th live performance of Streets ever.

 via web

You’ll Never Walk Alone snip at end of Walk On, leads into Streets.

 via web

So, after Zagreb II, what’s the betting Desmond Tutu’s bit will stay before One or revert to preceding Streets?

 via web

… leads into Walk On. Tell me you didn’t see that coming. ;)

MLK

 via web

Pride after SBS

 via web

Rock The Casbah snip in SBS.

 via web

Sunday Bloody Sunday

 via web

Two Tribes and O Come All Ye Faithful snips in Crazy.

 via web

Crazy Tonight

 via web

Vertigo after COBL.

 via web

Hahaha, as I’m saying, too bloody early! - RT @U2log ‘what time is it on the world?’ during Cobl

 via web

I (Ax) miss being in Europe… either at the gigs themselves or at least having the gigs on at a reasonable time of day to follow!

 via web

And now time for City Of Blinding Lights

 via web

Next song: The Unforgettable Fire

 via web

Still, 6am Melbourne time is far too early as far as I’m concerned!

 via web

Sorry for being late, folks. Matt’s focusing on the gig. This is Ax, and apparently I can’t calculate timezone differences.

 via web

London set so far: Breathe, NLOTH, Boots, Magnificent, Beautiful Day, Elevation, Still Haven’t Found, Stuck, Unknown Caller

 via web

Matt here about snippets. They can be listed below the setlist so it only lists full songs. If one want to see no snips put them down there.

 via Ping.fm

@blatantlyme here are 2 queues for different gates.

http://ping.fm/p/hF9hO - I think “Shush now” and “Password” shirts are new.

 via Ping.fm

http://ping.fm/p/nb6Lg - Around 200 in this queue.

But then I may not … yes, I’m sure some of you are wondering where my Amsterdam/Dublin reviews are. So am I. Anybody seen them? ;)

 via web

@atu2 I may write an article explaining my rationale and approach to snippetry, as it would probably be a beneficial expansion upon the FAQ.

 via web

@atu2 This is getting far too long for Twitter! I’ve received all kinds of feedback re: snippets too, generally in favour of adding stuff.

 via web

@jpstarkey He’s still referencing Radiohead. It fulfils the definition of ‘snippet’. And I think it added something to the song.

via web in reply to jpstarkey

@atu2 I use the dictionary definition of snippet, “small piece/bit, scrap, fragment”, hence no limitation on brevity.

 via web

@atu2 I am sincerely curious how substantial a fragmentary reference must be for you to consider it valid snippetry.
