Over to Matt now. This is Ax, signing out. Hope you folks enjoyed the Paris coverage, communication problems notwithstanding!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Presume we are missing some snippets - will update as soon as we confirm them. :)

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Full Paris setlist, stats, and info here: http://u2.gs/fp

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Well, that was a more… difficult live set than usual. Thanks to EVERYBODY who helped out, too many to name.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

23rd is With Or Without You, 24th and presumably last is Moment Of Surrender.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Bah, how did I miss this? Athens had the 100th ever performance of HMTMKMKM!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

And 22nd is… Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

So, bets on what’s next, UV or HMTMKMKM? I’m picking the latter.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 …along with 90% of U2’s discography!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

But instead, 21st is Streets, with Amazing Grace intro snippet. What happened to TTMAD? ;)

 via U2gigs (Ax)

I’m sure the next song will be Things To Make And Do. ;)

 via U2gigs (Ax)

20th song of the night, first song of the encore, is One.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 It’s been a strange day! Would’ve preferred you to be wrong about that one though …!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

18th is MLK, 19th is Walk On. So alas, no Mothers Of The Disappeared for Paris.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@SeattleB It really is weird! This is like back on Vertigo…

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to SeattleB

So if you are catching up, here’s the full set so far, finally confirmed: http://u2.gs/fp

 via U2gigs (Ax)

And via @U2tour, Crazy Tonight had snippets of Two Tribes and Relax.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Just heard from Matt. Can confirm the provisional order. Setlist same as Munich so far. After COBL: Vertigo, Crazy Tonight, SBS.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

13th is Miss Sarajevo and 14th is City Of Blinding Lights.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 True! I’ll take AIWIY over MS in Melbourne since I’ve never heard AIWIY live, amazingly!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Now In A Little While, which we presume is 12th. Looks like the set is the same as Munich so far, but can’t 100% confirm that.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Correction: Every Breaking Wave NOT played. However, Mercy HAS been played!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

No luck with getting through to Matt at the venue yet. :(

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Via @U2tour, the band have done North Star AND Every Breaking Wave!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

My guess is they’ve done the usual order after Magnif: MW, Elevation, UTEOTW, ISHFWILF.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Via @u2tour, setlist order is actually still unclear, and Mysterious Ways has also been played.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Also, via @cloneweb, Elevation has been played. Don’t know setlist position yet.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Fifth to seventh: Magnificent, Until The End Of The World, I Still Haven’t Found. Thanks @u2tour!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Hallelujah, we have news! Third is I Will Follow, fourth is Boots.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Trying to get in touch with Matt at the venue to see if he can tell us anything, but reception’s so bad there.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Haha, well, B Day now has more snippets than Bad, sooo …! ;)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

I’m sorry setlist reports are so few and far between today. Promise that as soon as I know anything, so will you. Hang in there!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@obrienderek Hawkmoon was done eight times live in 1989…

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to obrienderek

Here is our mainpage article where I will be posting the full set live (or as live as we can get it today!): http://u2.gs/fp

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Second is Beautiful Day.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 I wasn’t sleeping well anyway, so no matter! Not sure there IS a curfew, stadium’s not near houses.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Apparently it was meant to begin at 9:30. Don’t recall last year’s start time.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

We’re go in Paris. Stingray Guitar opens as usual.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 By the way, at a recent Bathurst, one car hit a ‘roo over the top of Mt Panorama! That was… unpleasant.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 That was the last Gold Coast Indy I watched! When it rains in QLD, it fuckin’ RAINS.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Really? Shows how long it’s been since I’ve paid attention!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Used to live on the Gold Coast, and the CHAOS that Indy caused there = beyond belief. Melbourne does it better.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Hate most Indy races since they’re oval tracks. Love Bathurst because it’s such a hard track over Mt Panorama.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Bathurst 1000 is V8 Supercars. My one true racing love. Used to follow F1 but not much any more.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Alas, it seems like there won’t be an audio feed today. Will let you folks know if one shows up.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Nope, she hates car racing and I prefer watching it on TV. Can’t wait for the Bathurst 1000 next month!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Never EVER thought I’d met a girl who’d enjoy black metal gigs with me though!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 Our one big disagreement is sport. We love rugby & I’ve got her into Aussie rules, but… I’m alone in loving cricket!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 We officially got together while following Porcupine Tree around Australia. God it’s so handy having similar music taste.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 She just stays in bed, haha! We originally met on Interference, so she “gets it”.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

Was linking this for @skid63, but you should all see. Best Desire ever, 1989-09-27 Sydney: http://u2.gs/fn

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Haha, though we both love cooking. No idea how I got my girlfriend; I’m a hopeless nerd, but she saw something in me!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 That’s only because you’re awake enough to properly enjoy them and I’m not!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@skid63 Here you go, Hawkmoon on 1989-09-27 is on YouTube: http://u2.gs/fm

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to skid63

@Matkin22 By the way, can I just thank you for always being around and keeping me awake with conversation before/during the gigs!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@djundi You have no idea how much I wish U2 would play Heartland live. It’s my 3rd favourite U2 song ever.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to djundi

@Matkin22 After 3 years of living alone, I was almost going mad! Plus we’ve moved into a nice place… ie great pizza shop over the road!

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@Matkin22 I’ll take EBW, Mercy, MOTD, HMTMKMKM. NYD not IWF. Would love EBTTRT or AIWIY but not expecting it.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@skid63 There’s also TV newscrew video of Hawkmoon from 1989-09-27. That gig gave us the best Desire ever, too.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to skid63

@Matkin22 Heh, good luck! My girlfriend and I have been living together for the last few months. Now I don’t talk to myself all the time! ;)

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@skid63 Yeah, I’ve long since stopped believing U2 remember it exists. Sigh. SO good live in ’89.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to skid63

@TortiG Oh wow, that’s the worst luck ever. Sorry to hear that. :(

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to TortiG

Sounds like Stade de France learnt nothing from last year and the entry chaos and cramped, crushed crowd are being repeated.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Australia got Desire & Angel last time, so AIWIY would be nice this time. Hawkmoon and God Part II would be even better though!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Remember, U2’s best-selling Aussie album is RAH. Won’t shock me if they bring some RAH songs back to the set by December.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

@Matkin22 Heh, just said to my girlfriend that AIWIY would go great in ISHFWILF’s spot. WOWY’s too.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to EveryBrokenWave

@alekasattic Sounds just like last year really! We got screwed over entering the venue; other side let in like 10 minutes before us.

via U2gigs (Ax) in reply to alekasattic

Soundcheck reports today are Pride, Streets, AIWIY (!), and crew doing Mercy and Desire.

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Funny to think that over a year ago, I was in Paris seeing U2. Wasn’t to be this year. But at least I have great fruit toast right now?

 via U2gigs (Ax)

Matt may not be tweeting, but this is Ax checking in, and I will do my best to keep you folks informed!

 via U2gigs (Ax)

I’m not going to twitter today from Paris as my network is already down. Matt

@arnaudt you never know … it was sunny all day in Zurich as well ;-)
