Bad from the front rail https://twitter.com/rwoo…
Aha yes, I was trying to figure out what that was at the very end of The Electric Co.! Added to the set. https://twitter.com/Rich…
@atu2comSherry Shine Like Stars was done 6 times on 360; last was 2011-07-09, Montreal. There’ve actually been just 12 full tour gigs since.
@docamstrup Good luck! I (Ax) have been lucky to get it at 6 out of 19 shows. Highlight every time.
In Gods Country from#U2ieTour in Phoenix https://youtu.be/W3yOWPy…
All five Joshua Tree singles, inc One Tree Hill, last appeared in the same set on 21 September 1989, opening night of Lovetown in Perth. #U2
Yes, Sil’s streams of the shows so far have been great! On behalf of everybody who’s enjoyed them, thank you Sil! https://twitter.com/smil…
@annie_nyc Beautiful Day was 20th, between Pride and Bad. :)
Bono on AIDS: “I want to say something and say it with conviction: this tiny little virus … we are the beginning of the end of that.” #U2
I hope The Troubles is done again soon. Only song to be dropped completely after the opening night of its debut tour is Like a Song in ’83.
At the end of WOWY solo I keep hoping to hear “YEEAAAHHHH WE’LL SHINE LIKE STARS IN THE SUMMER NIGHT”. Alas, that’s rare as hen’s teeth now.
@ChipSwain Bad was also in the main set at San Jose 2, though that was not written down on the printed set.
@atu2comSherry That was so ridiculously loose it was kind of endearing haha.
@sb_wreeldeal I think they arrive early afternoon when they are soundchecking. If they don’t do a check they’ll arrive later.
Bad was only played at consecutive shows once on 360 - and they were its first two performances, 21 and 24 July 2009.
Snippet of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in Beautiful Day. https://www.youtube.com/…
Worth noting that In God’s Country has only been played 8 times since end of JT Tour: Lovetown x4, Elevation x3, and now IE x1.
@ryannichols7 Yep. Tryin’ To Throw and Playboy Mansion have been rehearsed so maybe they’ll get a run. Curious to see if much variety in LA.
Works fine here https://twitter.com/febo…
I (Matt) just turned on a periscope stream and what do I hear?? In God’s Country #U2ieTour
@ryannichols7 That would be very cool.
@JeffReinhart77 That would be damn cool if it happens.
Chris here, just want to reiterate Ax’s THE ELECTRIC CO excitement! Thrilled it’s back!! Ok, carry on! #U2ieTour
@FernandoDante Yeah that one’s not working for me right now either.
If you’ll indulge me suddenly feeling homesick thanks to Bono, you can see why part of me never left Raumati Beach: https://c2.staticflickr….
Bono: “There’s a part of everyone that’s still on the street you grew up.” Yep, definitely part of me never left Raumati Beach, New Zealand.
Yes, great shout-out there. https://twitter.com/duuu…
@JackRyder120 I’m not sure what her Twitter is, but yes I hope she knows how appreciative the fanbase is!
@JeffReinhart77 Yeah I’m worried I’m a total jinx on streams now!
@harbinger384 Nah that’s a proper Melbourne-style chicken parmigiana (exhibit A: last night, what a night). But pizza is a close second.
Nothing to do with U2, but pizza is the hangover food of champions. PS Shh U2, my head hurts.
@sb_wreeldeal Yeah I’m honestly surprised they’re not at least pushing to 26-27 songs.
@Rusty_Olson You and me both. I was CERTAIN it would debut at Dublin 3 after sitting in GA queue listening to it being soundchecked.
When I was 15 and saw the Under a Blood Red Sky video for the first time, Surrender impressed me immediately. 11OTT sealed the deal.
We’ve had a number of our followers express a similar hope actually! I (Ax) would love Surrender to return. https://twitter.com/BeeZ…
I’m still gutted that U2 didn’t play Mofo live on the Vertigo Tour after rehearsing it extensively during the third leg.
Since end of Elevation in Dec ’01, Pop songs have appeared live a total of THREE times: Discotheque twice, Sept ’05; SATS once, Oct ’11.
Chris posted earlier about wanting Gone, LNOE, Discotheque, or Please on the #U2ieTour. I (Ax) agree wholeheartedly. Do You Feel Loved too.
@Framiriello Completely agree.
@sb_wreeldeal Who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us with some Pop at MSG in July. I’ll be at the 1st and last NY shows
@Number9uk You must be thinking of Ax and the rest of the gang!
@JackRyder120 Much appreciated! But yes! If God Will Send His Angels is another one of those hidden gems.
@sb_wreeldeal Hearing about a supposed acoustic section, I was convinced Please would show up there.
@sb_wreeldeal It really does add a nice comedic element to the account, doesn’t it! Ax is great.
@Dreams_Out_Loud Thanks! I’m still pretty new here though!
I don’t mean to crowd everyone’s Twitter, but thanks for welcoming me these last few weeks! I love following sets and interacting with y’all
@Drea104 oh man, wasn’t the Discotheque snippet in Crazy Tonight such a tease?
@ryannichols7 Definitely. Maybe we’ll eventually get The Playboy Mansion this tour
@welshevs75 I’d give my left arm to see Velvet Dress.
@pdxmormongirl And to think Pop was the U2 album I struggled to love for the longest time!
@cmac1127 Why not both?! What gems they both are.
@Hoosier2012 LNOE kicks so much butt! And I’m indifferent on Mofo. Not a huge fan. Would rock live though, I’m sure.
@dgta31 the original Mercy is in my personal top 5 or 6 U2 songs, so I agree with you on that end.
I would personally love to see If You Wear That Velvet Dress the most (it’s my favorite!) but I’ll take just about any Pop song.
I don’t know if the great Ax would agree, but I’d kill to hear Last Night On Earth, Discotheque, Gone or Please on the #U2ieTour
But as I travel, I’ve been listening to Pop from start to end. Real crime it’s had little to no representation since Elevation, huh?
Hi all, Chris here. Sadly, I won’t be able to follow much tonight. I’m traveling a few hundred miles as we speak. Have fun tonight everyone!
